The following DJI drones await us in 2023

Which drones can we expect from DJI in 2023? We collect all official reports and rumors about planned, announced or expected models and provide you with an overview.

This year, the question arises again: Which drones will DJI release in 2023? The models of the Chinese manufacturer are by far the most popular in our community. Therefore, we present you a possible roadmap for upcoming DJI drone models in 2023 based on current rumors and news.

Note: It is important to note that the following information is only rumors and unconfirmed! Keep that in mind when reading. We will keep this article up to date.

DJI Drones 2023: DJI Air 3, DJI M350T, DJI Mavic 3S?

The start this year is made by a list of Twitter user @DealsDrone, which has already prepared some successful predictions for the past year.

More Information

As can be seen, DealsDrone expects a DJI Inspire 3 and the Z9, the DJI Air 3, a DJI Mavic 3S in 2023. For drone pilots from the industrial sector, the M350T and the DJI Dock SE are also interesting.

DJI Inspire 3

There were already leaks about a potential DJI Inspire 3 last year, which is why the rumor mill already mentioned last year as a possible release date. However, as we know, nothing came of it. This year, the release should be safe. Whether it will be in March will soon become clear.

DJI Air 3

For most drone pilots, probably one of the most exciting DJI drones for 2023 – a DJI Air 3. But how might such a model position itself? So far, the DJI Air 2S more than neatly fills the gap between the Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3.

Improvements to the model could bring the drone very close to the Mavic 3. DJI would run the risk of cannibalizing its own product portfolio. Is DJI perhaps pulling a surprise out of the hat here? According to the current leak, we could know more in May 2023 at the latest. We are curious!

DJI Mavic 3S

For us, the mention of a DJI Mavic 3S for the middle of the year is somewhat surprising. With the Mavic 3 Standard and Mavic 3 Cine, DJI has two professional devices in its portfolio that have not been on the market that long. In addition, the Mavic 3 Classic appeared at the end of 2022 as a slimmed-down and cheaper version. Upwards, the range is also extended by the Mavic 3 Enterprise series. The range of Mavic 3 models is therefore already very extensive. But with a Mavic 3S, DJI could possibly widen the gap to a potential DJI Air 3. So let’s be surprised.

DJI Mavic 3

  • 4/3 Zoll CMOS-Sensor Hasselblad Kamera
  • 1/2 Zoll CMOS-Sensor Tele Kamera

M350T

We do not yet have any significant information on this.

DJI Dock SE

DJI introduced its DJI Dock drone hangar just last year. A DJI Dock SE could indicate a smaller or cheaper version. This is not unlikely, considering the steep price of the previous dock. However, we cannot yet estimate to what extent another model could or can be developed so quickly.

DJI Gimbals und und Action-Kameras

The list also contains speculations about new DJI gimbals as well as action cameras. However, we do not go into this in detail and only inform about new announcements when necessary, as happened for example earlier this month for the DJI RS 3 Mini. For us, the focus is clearly on DJI drones for 2023.
