The first specs on the upcoming DJI Mini 4 Pro has leaked out. The basis for this are pictures of the presumably official packaging of the mini drone. We summarize.
After the DJI Mini 4 Pro was recently listed in the IMDA database of Singapore, the first images of the packaging are now available. The exciting thing about it is that it contains the first information about the technical specifications of the Mini drone.
Technical data of the DJI Mini 4 Pro
How could it be otherwise, the pictures were shared by the well-known X users @Quadro_News and @OsitaLV. What was clear based on the model series: The Mini 4 Pro also comes with a weight of <249g. The flight time also remains unchanged from its predecessor and should be 34 minutes according to the packaging.
However, it gets interesting again with the camera!
4K at 100 fps
According to the footage, the DJI Mini 4 Pro will deliver 4K video recording at 100 fps, which would put the new mini drone on par with the recently released DJI Air 3.
In addition, the following data is supplied for the camera:
- HDR Video
- 48MP Photo
- True Vertical Shooting
As usual, a 1/1.3″ CMOS model is used for the sensor.
However, the Mini 4 Pro has even more exciting innovations in store for the Mini series.
O4 support, waypoints, obstacle detection, …
The packaging also reveals the following information:
- Omnidirectional Active Obstacle Sensing
- FocusTrack
- Waypoint Flight
- Hyperlapse
- 20km FHD Video Transmission
So obviously the Mini 4 Pro gets a comprehensive obstacle detection system that can detect obstacles in all directions. A first in DJI’s Mini series. In addition, the new Mini version also has a waypoint function. This feature was also previously reserved for the larger models – a real gamechanger! Furthermore, the stated range of 20km for video transmission points to the use of DJI’s new O4 video transmission system.
In general, DJI seems to be upgrading the Mini 4 Pro and is moving the model very close to the DJI Air 3. What could be decisive for the purchase decision is the price. This is not yet known. However, we expect concrete information about this in the coming days.
When will the DJI Mini 4 Pro be released?
There is still no official date, since DJI itself has not yet confirmed the Mini 4 Pro. The X user OsitaLV nevertheless dares to make a prediction and already brings September 15 into play. That would mean that DJI should launch a new teaser page this week, if the drone is really to be officially unveiled next Friday.
